“Characteristics of an Independent Contractor
An independent contractor will perform tasks for your business much the same way that a plumber or handy man performs tasks for at your home. You will identify the task that the independent contractor needs to perform, and the independent contractor will proceed to complete the task how he deems appropriate. For example, the independent contractor will often:
- Set his own schedule
- Use his own means of finishing the project
- Accept tasks on a case-by-case basis
- Supply his own tools
- Have more than one client
- Uses his own place of work
- Have s defined scope of work”
